Edwell Maposa is a (LLD) Doctoral researcher and practitioner in Sustainability, ESG, and Environmental law frameworks. A sitting board member to local organisations and abroad, he is a legal expert within the extractive industry space, with over 20 years of executive experience in management, high-profile consultancy, and leadership roles within and beyond the Southern African bloc. He is a passionate proponent of clean energy and climate matters towards sustainable economic growth, social-environmental justice, as well as upholding human rights in the extractive industry supply chain. He is an external assessor for Ford Foundation development fund for natural resources and climate change administered under Southern African Trust (SAT).
Edwell is also a fulltime post-graduate Extractive Industry Law lecturer at the University of Zimbabwe, and he is currently researching and writing on Environmental Law, Sustainability, and ESGs, to enhance environmental protection.
